New Top of the Line

Like many of you on this maker journey, I’ve owned several different machines. My first was a gift from my grandmother, a used Necchi.  As my skills increased and my machine wore out, I made an impulse purchase on a family trip to fill the gap.  I didn’t spend much, but I soon regretted just getting by since it was too small and didn’t have the power I needed for quilting.  However, that machine taught me one very important lesson: Buy for growth in skills.

Now that the new top of the line Baby Lock Radiance and Brother Aveneer are soon to launch, I’m very tempted to buy.  I have an Altair, just upgraded to a two.  I love this machine, and its phone camera links for positioning and digitizing, right there on the machine.  The new 2-point positioning makes alignment even easier, and I finally have the Sashiko stitches the Chorus and BQ3100 already had in 2021 when Quilt Lizzy Ayden opened.

Nevertheless, I’m planning on buying either the Aveneer or the Radiance because the teacher in me will keep up with the latest so that I can help others learn too.

I’m not worried about getting “too much machine.”  Brother National Teachers will arrive at both Ayden and Wake Forest in November and December to showcase the Aveneer and all its new features.  We’re setting up virtual classes with Baby Lock for the winter and spring for the Radiance too.  If you’re on the fence about moving to the new models, these events will help you decide.

Moreover, Quilt Lizzy is here to help you after you decide which machine is best for you. I’m here along with our amazing staff to help you get the most out of your machine.

Summer Sizzle

That said, our Summer Sizzle Sale is a chance to pick up floor models at very tempting prices, 40% off MSRP.  If you need only a travel machine, now is a great time to pick up a small model.  If you’re looking for more machine, now is the perfect time to stretch the power of your dollars.

Free arm machines like the PR1055X, PR1X embroider premade items like bags, shoes, hats as well as typical flat towels, shirts, pillowcases. These semi-industrial machines can quickly lead to side hustle opportunities as word spreads of your skills.

Camera linked machines like the XP3, Solaris Vision, Altair2, XJ2, XE2, and Meridian2 make positioning designs so much more accurate.  Their bigger hoops adapt to embroidering edge-to-edge designs.  If you construct costumes for cosplay events, any of these machines will up your game. Our staff will walk you through how to use images and transform them to applique, to outlines, and to embroidery.

Best stitches!

That is an up-coming topic, Velvet. Most customers upgrading choose to keep, donate or put their machines on our email list. We notify our entire customer list that your machine is for sale.

Just curious: What do you do with your current machine(s) when you upgrade to the newest release ones?
