Organizing your sewing space?  Our Blooming Basket serger class August 1 from 10 AM to 4 PM will help you organize as well as beautify your work area.  Once you learn the basics, make more for gifting or for house warming presents.

Learn how to use flatlock to build basket rings and wave stitches for a rolled flower that won't die in the summer heat.

Bring your own serger and manual to review settings and threading.  If you don't have a serger, let us know so you can test out one of ours. We'll have a coverstitch and a sewing machine from some of the basic sewing too.

Supplies to bring for project:

• 7 cotton fabric strips 2.5" x 22"
• 1 cotton fabric strip 2.5" x 26" for piping
• Bosal or batting & Decor Bond 10" x 22"
• 2 Cardboard templates for base, covered with batik fabric
• Glue gun and gluesticks
• Cording 1/4"-3/8" size, 30"
• 7/8" button for flower center
• Feet needed--cording, standard foot
• Threads two 12 weight, 3 overlock cones
• Sewing needle and thread to attach fabric flower
