Beginning Quilting 2026 - Wake Forest

Spring forward with a new endeavor. Beginning Quilting 2026 is perfect if you've ever wanted to sew, if you have a new family member arriving or if you just want to brighten your rainy spring days. No experience is necessary, but your old home economics memories will grow clearer. Never had home EC? No problem.
This class has four Saturday sessions from 10 AM-3 PM.
Fabric needed:
- Blocks: 6 fat quarters, 3 colorways OR a jelly roll
- Inner border: 1/4 yard
- Focus fabric outer border: 3/4 yard
- Batting
- Binding: 3/8 yard
- Backing: 1 1/4 yard
Supplies needed*:
- Alex Anderson's Start Quilting book
- Sewing Machine in Good Working Order
- Ergonomic/self-closing Rotary Cutter
- Acrylic Ruler-6 ½ x 24 ½ or 8 ½ x 24 ½
- Acrylic Ruler-6 ½ square
- Self Healing Mat
- Quilting Pins
- Seam ripper
- Masking tape or painters tape
- Scissors/snips for cutting threads
- Hand sewing needles if sewing binding by hand
- Curved safety pins
- 1/4” foot with or without guide
- Walking foot
- Optional-Wonder clips for binding
