Quilting with a Baby Lock Serger June 27, 2025 Wake Forest

This is a technique class and will focus on skills for Quilting and Fleece Throws. Techniques include: perfect 1/4” piecing with Overlock, piecing with Chain Stitch, decorative piecing with Flatlock stitch, Quilt-As-You-Go, quilting with the Chain Stitch, traditional Quilt Binding with mitered corners, Blanket Stitch and more. A Pot Holder Project will be included to practice Quilt-As-You-Go and Binding. Handouts are provided for you to save with your
practice samples.

Note, machines do not all have the same feet, accessories, and stitch variety available, where
possible, alternatives will be provided or encouraged. The new Applaud cover stitch will be
available in classroom for demo and use.

This is a repeat of Serger Technique Class 5.

Skill Level: Confident Beginner, knows how to operate machine, familiar with knobs and other
parts of machine, able to move, replace & thread needles, able to change presser feet, able to thread for 4-thread, 3-thread, able to convert to 2-thread, able to set up a Flatlock Stitch, able to change stitch width and length.
